What are Strepsils Extra Blackcurrant Lozenges?

Strepsils Extra Blackcurrant Lozenges are used as an antiseptic and local anaesthetic for the relief  and irritation of a sore throat and its associated pain. Each lozenge contains a combination of 2 antibacterials to help kill the bacteria which can cause sore throats and mouth infections and a powerful local anaesthetic which rapidly numbs the pain.

How many Strepsils Extra Blackcurrant Lozenges do I take?

Adults and Children over 6 year old: Dissolve one lozenge slowly in the mouth every 3 hours as required. Do not take more than 12 lozenges in 24 hours. Do not take more than 12 in 24 hours. Duration of treatment should be limited to 3 consecutive days.

Strepsils are not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
