What is Pernation?
Pernaton is a range of products that has been extracted from Green Lipped Mussels.The Extract comes from the north of New Zealand. Mussels are grown on ropes which hang vertically in the water. They are constantly checked and thinned to make sure they are growing in a perfect environment.
When in their peak condition they are harvested and shipped. It is made in a way which was created 30 years ago, and was specially designed for a therapeutic product.
The therapeutic benefits were found by accident, as the scientist John Croft was farming them for food until he realised how beneficial they could be. He soon became responsible for developing programmes and products using the green lipped mussels.

Not suitable for people with an allergy to shellfish. - The Green Lipped Mussel extract is taken from seafood. Monitoring of the waters and mussels do comply with US FDA Shellfish Standards. With each batch of Perna extract, tests are taken to ensure that the product is free from environmentally induced pathogenic contaminants. The extract has been through tests for both toxicity and teratogenic studies to confirm its safety.
