Serrapeptase is a silkworm enzyme used naturally to breakdown it’s cocoon. It is produced in nature by a friendly bacterium found within the silkworm. Through a fermentation process it is now commercially available.
Serrapeptase is thought to help the body breakdown protein which may reduce inflammation and mucus. It can be used for painful conditions including back pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, carpel tunnel syndrome, migraine headache, and tension headache.
It can also be used for conditions that involve pain and swelling (inflammation) including sinusitis, laryngitis, sore throat, ear infections, swelling after surgery, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.
Natures Aid Serrapeptase is manufactured using Entero-coated® technology. This allows Serrapeptase to pass through the acidic stomach environment into the intestine, before it is released and absorbed into the blood stream.
